THEME An artwork of your animal friend
By an animal friend, I mean your own pet, but it can also be your family pet, family dog for example, as well as some animal you're closely connected to and love very much, like that one special horse of your granddad's you made friends with and love to ride.
Does my animal friend have to be..uhm...alive? No. I even encourage making an artwork of an animal you loved very much, but unfortunately is no longer with you, for whichever reason. Always wanted to draw your dog you spent so many wonderful years together? Now's a good time.
Introduce us to your animal friend It would be nice if you wrote something about your animal friend in your description, but it's not obligatory. Anything you want: their name, age, what kind of animal is it (if it's some unusual, rare one), breed, how you two met, share a story with us. Really, anything you want.
Important! Since it's very possible to happen, please do not cheat! Have a respect for your fellow entrants and play fair. No artwork of an animal that is not your friend, like your neighbor's gorgeous German Shepard, your friend's hamster, your sister's goldfish you let starve when she's away, random cute animal you found on the web...You get the point.

2 entries maximum per deviant
This is a
traditional art contest only (drawings, paintings, scratchboard, mixed media, etc. )
Your entry needs to be specially made for this contest, no entries submitted before January 29th will be accepted nor the entries sent after the contest is closed on March 29th (23:59 pm, GMT+1:00)
You're free to be as creative and original as you want, show more than one animal in your artwork, do portrait, half-body or full body, background, no background, you decide. You can also include people, yourself for example, objects, whatever, but keep the focus on the animal - we should be able to see your animal friend, so no extreme close ups showing only the eyes, paws, etc.
Write in your deviation description your work is for this contest and link to it. For example: "My entry for „Your Animal Friend"contest (link to this entry), held by
WickedIllusionArt"
