Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley & Dave Legeno as Fenrir Greyback from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie

I call myself a big fan of HP books and I've drawn zero HP fanarts until this one!(I don't count 2 drawings I drew long time ago) :D From all the characters I've never thought I'd draw Ron first.

Now the "technical" part.

I played with contrast,light and shadows on the ref picture
so that's why my drawing has a bit different lightning,contrast than the poster I drew+I cropped the ref even more so that I can make my drawing bigger (I draw on A4 paper)

I made a huge mistake at the very beginning (at least I thought so at first)- I drew the outlines on the wrong side of the paper,the more grainy side and didn't want to draw them again since I already spent too much time on them.

I had to put twice more effort into this drawing because of that + I had to completely change the way I work on some particular area,the way I usually shade.Meaning,I had to use pencils I usually don't use for for some particular area so that I'm able to create the texture I want etc.

I was a bit concerned because I didn't know if I'll be able to make a good portrait,a drawing I'll be happy with but it turned out so much better than I expected.

The drawing looks much better in reality,the scan looks more grainy and strange on some parts than the drawing in reality.

Wow I actually thought the creature was the monster from the horror movie "Jeepers Creepers", and I...ugh, kinda had a seizure from fear...but it's all good now, ahahah. So yeah, this is truly amazing. Hard to describe every little thing I like about it. Obviously the detail is beyond brilliant. You've captured a devious kind of essence in the face of Greyback, and as for Ron....ugh, he's just downright gorgeous in this! Those eyes, that hair! (I'm literally drooling :P)
